Bearings

Cookies

The short version: only the essential ones, and no tracking.

The 30-second version

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small piece of text a website stores in your browser. Some are essential (they make core things like staying logged in work); others are used to track people across sites. Bearings only uses the essential kind.

What we use

What we don't use

No advertising or marketing cookies, no cross-site trackers, no social-media pixels, and no analytics cookies that profile you. We're a paid-model app, not an ad-funded one, so we have no reason to.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the essential ones will stop you being able to sign in. Clearing your preferences just resets things like the theme.

Changes

If we ever add a non-essential cookie (we've no plans to), we'll ask for your consent first and update this page. More on data generally is in our Privacy Policy.
